About us...

Fiercely independent since 2009!  Starting out as Reef Encounter we have grown into James and White, same team, same food but we don't have to explain what happened to the Boscombe Surf Reef anymore!

 

We opened our Christchurch site in 2013 and have continued to develop our menus with exciting new dishes and cooking techniques including hot stone cooking, always incorporating the best locally sourced produce. 

We cook from scratch and serve premium cocktails with bags of personality. We work with the areas best suppliers including Bournemouth's Bad Hand Coffee, Dorset's Black Cow Cheddar and pure milk vodka and of course our fantastic New Forest butcher and Poole based fishmonger.

 

There's beer from Brewdog, Peroni and Sierra Nevada and a rather clever wine and gin list.

Children are welcome throughout the day and into the early evening, we have books, games, colouring and a yummy kids menu to keep everyone entertained. Dogs are welcome too! Good dogs stay on the floor by the table and on a lead at all times. Good dogs always get a biscuit! 

We have full allergen listings at each site and can cater for most dietary requirements, please just ask your server.
